CVQA’s 2015 “Historic Franklin Quilt Show”
CVQA’s 2015 “Historic Franklin Quilt Show” was a huge success with over 600 in attendance, November 6-7. Visitors and vendors, quilters from all over our region, local residents, Civil War re=enactors, senior community residents, tourists from as far away as England—all commented on the quality of quilts displayed, the beautiful setting, and especially the outstanding Civil War Quilts exhibit.
As this was our first public quilt show, we overcame many challenges with the tremendous support of the entire guild membership.
We thank St. Philip Catholic Church for permitting us to use their facility, and The Battle of Franklin Trust for loaning authentic Civil War era quilts from their collection.
Best wishes and many thanks from the CVQA Quilt Show Planning Committee,
Marianne Cooley, Chair
